About Genesis Equestrian
Located in West Michigan, GE offers clients full-service training to suit all types of needs, ranging from sitting on a horse for the first time to higher level competition. Genesis Equestrian’s head trainer, Amelia Heath, has been coaching in the area for the past 20 years. Amelia has extensive knowledge in hunter/jumpers and dressage with a passion for proper horsemanship and off-the-track Thoroughbreds. Our standard of care and training plans are individualized to meet each horse and rider’s needs, so the sport can be enjoyed to its fullest.
It is the goal of Genesis Equestrian to provide our clients and their horses a home in which they feel safe and their horses are well taken care of. Through togetherness, continuing education, and hard work, Genesis Equestrian strives to be a group of people and horses that support and assist one another, both at home and at shows.

Amelia Heath
HEAD TRAINER
Amelia has been training around the Greater Grand Rapids area for over twenty years, earning her start through exercising Thoroughbreds at the track at just 12 years old. Her clients have earned top awards at venues such as the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival and the World Equestrian Center in hunters, jumpers, equitation, and dressage. Recently, she has returned to her passion in retraining Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds, teaching her clients how to train their own mounts along the way.
Audrey Benedict
WORKING STUDENT
Audrey began riding in hopes of learning to connect with horses while working with them in order to assist them in reaching their full potential. She has been receiving direction from Amelia for the past four years, working with breeds ranging from Thoroughbreds to Quarter Horses to Arabians. Many of Amelia's clients turn to her when they need assistance in training, exercise, and general horse care, as her education in horsemanship and training grows daily.
